First AP thoughts - Pics from browsing at AD on a lazy Sunday

Love the RG 41MM RO with blue dial, and the AP guys will give me a 18% discount. Really tempted. What do guys think?

Yes I realised the captions were wrong. It should be the other way round.

And yes moi aussi love the RO with blue dial. I live in HK and since the Chinese money is drying out they are giving out big discounts. This seems a good time to invest.

Both look great! It seems the market is softening in many places compared to the past couple of years.

I also tried on the Chrono version with blue dial on SS. Absolutely loved it.

The SS version of the 41MM RO blue dial is also gorgeous. I am now on the waiting list!

The YG ROC will be my choice. Stunning in person. Also check out the RG Black dial ROC.

If you like (love) it, and the price is right, then jump right in.
I'd be inclined to think if they're giving 18% straight off the bat, then there's probably 22-25% in it, with a bit of haggling.

I have been mulling over this. I think I should start my first AP piece with stainless steel. I am still not ready for a PM watch + braclet yet.

I am debating between 15400 Blue dial and
26327TI, it's a ROC that is limited to HK, apparently only 200 have been made.

Both these watches would be costing the same as the RG piece. I just can't really justify that. Perhaps in time I will realise the less is more principle. But at this age of exploration, I think I am going to play the field a little more first.

15400 blue dial.... Do you guys think the blue dial is really worth the extra $$$?
It's almost $4K more
But I do love it much more than the black or the White dial

Both those pieces the 15400 + the limited edition = RG piece give or take a few K

Given a budget of $38-40K, I am more inclined to choose two over one.

If u live in HK and only got 18% off for this model.. you are certainly not a 'VIP'... I can easily get 28%~35% off for them.

I prefer the RG to YG, which is a bit too bright for me, esp without a ceramic bezel to tone it down a bit. The HK is nice with the much coveted panda dial over on the other forum, but the price is pretty steep and as I think you will flip for a gold piece it will hurt. I'd probably just go for the gold now, you only live once and tomorrow is unpromised.

That's right, it's my first AP, so of course I am not a VIP.

I'll try to negotiate down a little more tomorrow, it's my first watch, and judging by what you say, I might just try for a 30% off.

That is also a very very appealing option.

Just something about that damn blue dial! I have to have it. I don't think the blue dial is available on the RG on strap.

A PM Royal Oak is a statement watch. I'd go with that over nearly anything else.

As much as I agree with that, I still think this statement piece is a little premature for a 30 year old man like myself.

I am going stay a little more grounded for my first AP.
