I personally think it's worth it, and I love the reverse panda look.

If you like the watch, buy it, as you might not be able to find a new example at that price again.

Here we go on hyping the Tintin version. Sorry guys am not buying that hype.

But ST is another story. And a successful one. I didn’t get one and that’s ok. Maybe someday.

The difficulty with speculation is that one may tend to not wear them for fear of diminishing its value, thereby reducing full appreciation of it. Otherwise, go for what you fancy.

imo the new ULTRAMAN is more special and will be more sought after? the Asion market will go nuts for that piece

The price, for such a legendary brand like Omega and an icon like the speedmaster is imo very acceptable I believe there are quite a few great deals out there. Not too expensive
and imo very limited.

Some say 2000 pieces is not a LE ?
Well, DO YOUR MATHS

Omega makes around 800.000 pieces per year so that is 0,25% of the total year production
or the number of watches they van make in half a day. The Patek makes 1300 pieces or so for a special occasion .... that is a joke. I bet a lot off Patek watches never reach 1300 pieces

Then there still is the price ... less than 10,000 far such an Omega and 60,000 up till 120,000 for the Patek (5572, 5711P, 40th anniversary nautilus chrono, ...)

I think a speedmaster limited to 2000 pieces or so is VERY limited

Which also explains these are ofter sold out in a matter of days and in case of the ULTRAMAN ... you even couldn't reserve one after 16 minutes

Less than 1500 TinTin exist and they’ve doubled in price. You can’t wish away the reality that this is becoming a big F’ing deal. Buy one before they become Snoopy crazy.

Nope sorry Amigo. I’ll buy what I like and not what is being “hyped”. Like there’s an effort to hype and get us to the bandwagon. Not me. Sorry to disappoint.

If you feel strongly about the opportunity, go for it. Hehehe

It’s a rather large band. Check the Omega Forums. TinTin is hugely popular. I did just buy one. The hype fits. That said choose your poison but I don’t think you can just void a watch and the energy surrounding it at your own whim just as one person cannot build up a watch and create a phenomenon. The TinTin is a phenomenon now. It just is.

That some sentiments there...

Just to clarify, Tintin is not for me. I don’t like the story, the “hype” even if it is justified, the history of the model, the dial color combo or everything on Tintin. I also don’t care the large band on the “perceived value.” I buy watches that will fit into my collection parameters. I also buy certain watches because I like the watch design, the technology behind the movement, and the story of the watch. It’s judgmental. I respect your opinion so maybe we can agree to disagree at this model.

Congrats on your Tintin and wear the watch in good health!

I want an Ultraman myself. Would pair great with my Speedies including the venerable TinTin. I’m on the waitlist that’s as good as I could-most likely not getting one, I’m being realistic. Cheers!

Up to you

It’s price will increase for sure.

Up to you to decide!

I personally buy what I like to wear. If the watch keeps its value or increase doesn’t matter to me but it’s good to know that your watch is desirable...
