Tudor GMT (INCOMING)

Yesterday I stopped by a local Rolex and Tudor AD to browse some watches over lunch break (we all know how this ends ). The saleswoman said they just received their first shipment of Tudor GMT's, three to be exact -- one on steel, one on leather, and one on NATO. I liked the GMT from what I saw at Baselworld, but truthfully was higher on the BB58 than the GMT.

But after seeing the GMT in person -- my goodness. It's stunning. It feels like such a thoughtful watch on Tudor's part -- chamfers on the underside of the case to help thin it out visually, the domed sapphire, the matte dial, etc -- I love everything about it. The darker blue color chosen for the bezel is particularly striking. I don't think I've ever been so powerless to resist a watch before.

And the in-house GMT movement has been impressive too. Only one night, but gained/lost exactly 0 seconds (rested dial up).

Needless to say, I'm thrilled and can't wait to get some more wrist time with this beauty.

Fantastic! Looks perfect. Like you I full expect if and when I finally see one of these in-person I will fail to resist the temptation to take it home with me. Agree on the colors, dial, crystal - Tudor hit it out of the park with this one.

Wow you walked into a AD and walked out with the watch without being on a list?

I've been waiting for 2+ months in UK some people a lot longer.

Congrats! That's pretty sweet! This has really been growing on me lately. I like my LN but this could make for a good pairing.

Definitely. Be sure to see it in person if you get a chance. I liked it in pictures, but not enough to get on a waiting list or put down a deposit. But upon seeing it in person -- wow, love at first sight.

No what I mean is some of us are on lists for the June release, don't know how an AD can have unsold stock in store to sell to a walker in when some stores have big lists.

Surely Tudor would send stock to stores with orders rather than a store that has no orders?

Got ya. Yeah I have no clue either...maybe a smaller market. I had to place a special order paying full price a few weeks ago and was #1 on the list since it was announced.

I bought one out a window of an AD in London. He got one extra (on leather), and had no orders for the leather so in the window it went. Luckily I was walking past 5 mins later........
