My opinion: Try somewhere other than eBay. :-)

Ebays fine if you stick to their rules you have excellent buyers protection...just don't deviate from the rules. I have bought some beauties from ebay very successfully ...ignore the alarmists. You don't have to be particularly sophisticated to stay safe. If you buy it - have it checked out immediately. If any problem you are covered ( otherwise there would not be an ebay - a true business success story - we should be proud of it and embrace the future because...this is the way its going like it or not.

Price seems high for a TT of that vintage. At 19 YO with no references to a service history, plan on a full service that will cost at least $600. If it was a SS with recent service and the 4130 movement I would say it was a winner if offered on TRF. Also, the $500 Paypal deposit with remainder by wire transfer is worrisome considering the Ebay origin. I would be patient and watch for a Daytona from a trusted seller here.

Good, but overpriced.

I think the price is a tid bit high, and the 'N' in Daytona looks wrong.
