Initial impressions: a solid notch above 5 digit Subs for much less.
Case: well built, polished in the right places, sits well on a 7.25" wrist. Wears a bit smaller than anticipated. Bracelet: if you paid big bucks for 5 digit Subs, you won't complain. Well built for what it is. Rubber strap: soft and nice. Accuracy: +5 sec /day. Do things line up: Yes, on the one that I got everything lines up. Bottom line: I expected this watch to be of a lesser quality. My other Seikos are vintage and the modern references that I've seen were definitely in the "solid beater" category more than anything else. This one is special. More pics to come soon.

After a brief customs delay, my SBDC123 finally came in on Thursday. Size is absolutely perfect and my good luck continues as everything lines up.

jdmi32, what's your accuracy? I have about +4-5 sec/day so far.

Fantastic.! Man, I have the navy blue turtle, but have my eye on this but think its too close to the turtle (I have the navy blue one). Do folks see the turtle and willard as too redundant in the same collection?

Thanks! This might be my favorite purchase of the year.
So far it’s +12 seconds over four days so +3/day. Every watch with a 6r35 movement that I’ve bought this year has similar results. |
