Jocke,
Not sure if you've covered it here, but what gear do you shoot with? I'm a beginning photographer, and haven't bought any good macro lens gear yet. And yes, I fully know that it's the photographer's eye, not the gear, that makes the picture. I struggle with that constantly (I'm not a natural). That said, I do try to use the right gear for the right situation.
