A Rarely Discussed 1675 GMT

Curious. With all of the different bezel styles that have appeared (past and present) on the GMT, this particular model rarely comes up for discussion. The 'Blueberry' has a very distinct appearance with its navy dial contrasted against a SS case.

Was the Blueberry GMT a limited production model or discontinued due to low sales?

No it wasn't a regular production watch/insert. It is just an insert that has been added to a watch. There are many stories about a supposed GMTs sold somewhere in the mideast with this bezel but frankly, the whole story regarding a "blueberry watch" is speculation and undocumented. I've never bought into the blueberry watch stories and speculation about issued GMTs with this insert.

A while ago, there was someone making and selling these blueberry inserts and passing them off to the unsuspecting as genuine. Many bought them believing they were real since they looked pretty much like the genuine version. I believe these inserts were originally found within the confines of a couple service centers and it didn't take long for them to hit the market.

Did some further research on this 'mystery' GMT and some sellers are asking around $15K-$20K for this particular model. Apparently there's a few of them in circulation.

Amazing how much impact a simple bezel insert can have. Other than its unique all-navy bezel, the 'Blueberry' GMT appears to be no different than any other 1675 of that timeframe.
