Vintage watch wear

I have an Explorer 6150 from 1953. My daily wear is a 16710 GMT II ‘Coke’ from 1999. I occasionally wear the Explorer and would probably wear it more often but am a bit scared in case something breaks or goes wrong with the A296 movement. Could Rolex fix a movement of that age if something did go wrong? What do others do with watches of this age - wear them all the time or just occasionally or never and keep them in the safe?

Thanks for your advice.

It is ultimately a personal decision-based on your use and common sense. Keep in mind that some RSC have returned vintage watches with value-affecting modifications
such as polished cases and dial changed out. You must be comfortable with the work done.
Sometimes it might be best to review with the RSC the service work-prior to watch shipment.

Another option is through a quality Rolex specialist who does guaranteed quality service work. Be cautious-know your watchmaker and insure you want ONLY service
requested and no exchange or replacement of original vintage Rolex watch parts.
Insure your shipment if watch going out of state. Rolex- RSC /US-can fix virtually any Rolex.
