A question re posting pics?

I am not very good with computer technology so can someone tell me how I can check if my picture is the correct size to upload to the forum. At the minute I choose the pic I want to post and then I'm told its too big.
Thanks.

Your picture size should be smaller than 700X700, or upload your picture
to something like http://photobucket.com/ just sign up for the free one
then upload your picture/look for browse R/H sideclick browse find picture on your pc/click submit/when image has been uploaded/you will see picture
with 3 boxes underneath/click and highlight the bottom one IMG/then R/click
copy then paste into your post its very easy to do
You can resize a picture using windows paint, right click your picture scroll
up to edit/picture will open in paint/image on top/scroll down to/stretch and
skew/when box opens/horizontal 100%/vertical/100% change these to
make your picture smaller/click ok/then save picture/

Craig,

The optimum image size is usually 640 x 480 pixels. This is the most popular size and should fit nicely on the screen without any overflows.

http://photobucket.com it will be automatically resized for you.Have a look
at the FAQ on top of forum lots of information in there, have practise with
a not wanted picture to resize it its very easy, search for a free picture

A nice programme to use to resize pictures is Irfanview. It's available free from www.irfanview.com/

Once you have uploaded a picture to Photobucket, copy the URL by highlighting it and right clicking on it with your mouse. In your message you type

I hope this helps.
