What is the sportiest non professional series current Rolex watch?
I think most here would agree that the SS GMT II C or the SS Sub can be dressed up or dressed down but which non professional series Rolex is able to cover formal wear and casual wear the best? Please be specific as possible.

This is what I thought worked best as a casual/dress/sport watch. Datejust ii with smooth bezel and brushed center links. I know many would not do this mod but its perfect for me. |

Can't wait for a larger AirKing option. Nothing beyond 41mm though.

I doubt it'll be soon. The AK was in the first round of upgrades in 2007. Extremely recent. The 5500 was in production for 37 years before Rolex decided to change it. The 140XX reference nearly 17 years. I'd say the 1142XX will be with us as is for many years to come

Explorer I? I was under the impression that the Explorer line was included in the Oyster Professional Collection. Aren't all models created for a specific profession (eg Explorers - climbers, Sub - diver, GMT - pilot, etc) a part of the professional series. That leaves the DJ, AK, Oyster Perpetuals and the Celini line which are not built for a specific profession. I'm not even sure if the Sky-Dweller falls within the professional range because it isn't built for a specific profession.

Explorers are part of the Professional line, which disqualifies them. In which case, I'd have to say SS Datejust with smooth bezel.

Just saw an Air King that I really liked. Just don't think it would be big enough for my taste.

Turn O Graph. I know it was just laid to rest but I'm sure there are some still available new.

Since the Turn-O-Graph is a DJ, it falls in the dress watch category. The rotating bezel is the option that gives it a sporting flare. I will try to get off my a$$ and take some pictures tonight. Mine is back from the RSC, and for all intents and purposes is a brand new watch.

The Milgauss and Explorer are part of the Professional Series though, right?
I'm inclined to, yet again, voice support for the pink-Arabic 116000. Thanks to the tireless work of good people like joe100, the world is finally showing some proper respect for the Air King, but OP's and OP Dates still get overlooked so much. |

Lots of folks saying Exp I. I think of it and the AirKing as sport models. Am I wrong?
