Incoming - My New Favorite “Personal Jeweler” Came Through

I guess I have developed a great relationship with one of the “Personal Jeweler”, that’s her official title at a SoCal AD near my work. She’s the same person who back in December offered me a BLNR and said they are really hard to come by, at that time I thought that she was just making up a story to get me to buy the watch. I did like the BLNR that day but didn’t pull the trigger. I came back a week after for it but she said their security guard bought the BLNR. I completely regretted that I hesitated in buying the watch. I told my “Personal Jeweler” to call me as soon as they get another BLNR in stock. So my “PJ” calls me up a couple of days later saying that her boss won’t add me to the waiting list because I don’t have a transaction history with their store. I was like fine there are other ADs in the area, I’ll just try my luck there. I’ve been visiting 3 ADs in my area for about a month without any luck. One AD wanted 50% down payment with about 4-6weeks ETA, I didn’t like that idea.

Well, today I got a call from my “Personal Jeweler” she said they just got a BLNR today and are calling people on the list, so I was on the list all along. She said she’ll hold the watch for me if a can do a 20% credit card payment over the phone, So I did just that and now can’t wait to get off work to pickup my BLNR.

Any chance this was BB in Riverside? Got a call from them today saying they had a BLNR come in and is available. I thanked them for the opportunity and said regretfully I am sticking it out on the Daytona waitlist at another AD I've been waiting on for awhile.

In the case it wasn't that AD...for those in SoCal and searching for a BLNR, try calling Riverside ASAP ;)

Congratz!

I wondered if Ben Bridge did waiting lists. I went into BB Cerritos asking about a 16610 and the salesman just said he hadn’t seen one in the system since Christmas. He didn’t seem at all motivated.

I guess we are deep in an seller’s market. I guess I’d have to bring him tacos to give me the time of day - let alone get this guy on a waiting list.

I don’t think they have an organized list that they go through chronologicaly. When I was picking up my watch they showed me a whole stack of cards, I’m guessing around 20 cards, same kind of card where I wrote my contact info and a list of watches I’m interested in purchasing.

They did. But they only did it after I told them to size the watch for me. They threw away the outer sleeve box and I had to ask for that one. My “PJ” was laughing while she was retrieving it from the trash.

Congrats, nice pick up! I have had good luck with BB. Bought a few from them (Daytona SS, LVc, and my 16710 GMT). My brother and his wife bought their DJII’s from Cerritos. Good place but if you go tomCerritos BB deal with Mickey, he the store manager and is awesome. Even with a big chain store like them once that relationship is built they can get you the harder to get pieces. Daytona and SS Sky Dweller not included of course.

There are a lot of stories on the forum regarding how difficult the BLNRs are to acquire at MSRP. Congratulations!!!
