Question re:1016
Was reading through some old 1016 posts. I own a circa 1969 1016
There was discussion whether somebody’s 1016 was a “frog foot” or not. I was under the impression a ff was not a feature of a 1016 but rather another Rolex with an Italian sort of name. While I’m at it: I believe I know what a chapter ring dial is. Was it available in certain years on a 1016? And finally...lol.. do 1960’s 1016’s (all things like condition etc being equal) tend to be more or less valuable than say on from the 80’s? Haven’t been on the site for years and had forgotten what a great group of folks give their time and effort thx in advance. |

Frog foot is in relation to the coronet shape on 1016’s
Chapter Rings are on earlier 1016’s The Older the more expensive(condition being equal of course) |

I've only collated the pictures so far for this article I'm intending to write, but it may prove illustrative:

Interesting to see the closeup of Haywood's 1016 as mine also has similar looking lumes, i.e. bubbles and lumes not quite filling the plots on the dial

So bear with me here... been spending time on different threads, frog foot coronet was on 1967- 1972 1016’s With very close inspection the middle toe is longer than the others as compared to the regular coronets? Or is this all some big joke and I’m imagining what I see?
