Question about 14060 Submariner clasp

Hello:

The clasp on my submariner doesn't really "click" I can only secure it with the latch that goes over it, is that normal/expected on a vintage watch? or is there anything wrong with the clasp?

I've attached pictures just in case anyone can spot something wrong with it right away.

Thanks

You bend the flat blade slightly, which makes it effectively shorter, and the clasp cover will then snap again.

Which one is the flat blade?

Also, I don't need to worry about it being after market or anything right?

Not normal. My 14060 from 1990 still clicks and stays put without the flip-lock. What doesn't stay put as efficiently is the diver's extension. It gives in to the weight of the bracelet.

Choice of words. OK, it is not uncommon. And yes, bending usually solves it.

Easy does it, VERY small and soft additional bend is needed.
