1803/8 dial replacement cost

The dial posts in my 1803/8 (as written on ticket) Ser 3038839 (1972) have broken and dial has shifted a bit. I supose that loose posts rattling around inside are a sure recipe for more damage. Rolex jeweler here in town has quoted a price of $705.00 to replace it along with matching hands with an as close as possible dial. I'm not sure what servicing cost, if necessary, would be in addition to that. Just wondering if that is a fair price. I'm told its a price that falls into an under warranty condition.
As an aside, this watch was given to me as s gift years ago and I'm just not sure if I can justify forking over that much money.
Are there other ways of finding someone who may be able to repair it for less?
Thank you for your feedback and all persons on this site who give your time and experience to help folks like me. OEY3
