Rolex 1601 check
I recently bought this 1968/9 1601. and was wanting to see if everyhting looks correct to everyone, the watch has a 6251H Jubilee bracelet with 55 endlinks.
however, I can't seem to find out how to remove a link? also, how does one tell if the bezel is white gold? There is a small bit of damage to the case back, should I be worried about that ? Keep in mind Im not planning to swim with the watch. Thanks in advance for any help. |

There should be lume dots outside the markers, but they all appear to be missing, which is suspicious. Also, I would have expected the hands to show a bit more age. Maybe a closer look is warranted, but we would need better photos. Clear, in focus, and high resolution, from various angles in better lighting.
I've never removed a link from a folded-link jubilee, but for an oyster bracelet of the same vintage, you must actually unfold the link carefully and gently to slip it off of the pin. Unless you can find an instructional youtube video, it might be worth taking it to someone with more experience.
