Accidentally pulled out crown and stem
Hi all, I was adjusting the time on my DJ 1601 and completely pulled out the crown and stem, would a watch maker be able to fix this for me? Also should I try and put the stem and crown back and screw it down for safe keeping or leave it out.
Many thanks |

Your detent screw has loosened or broken, 5 minute fix if just loose. That's it by the tiny green arrow. Jiggle it very gently if it will go in with absolutely no force put it in and button it up. Get it to a watchmaker and don't do anything to it.

Happened to me a couple of times with a 5513 Sub - screw apparently had worked loose so I eventually got it replaced. Am still very carefull however when setting the watch, so I now try to apply a little back pressure on the crown just to even out the pull force when setting it.
