Omegas...2 or 1?
Hey All,
I own the Speedy 9300. I am considering selling it to obtain a 45mm Planet Ocean and the older 44.25mm Speedy Co Axial. Don't want to go in any $$ and the Moonwatch is just too small for me. So do I sell the 9300 to get both a PO and a Speedy CoAxial? Or is the in-house movement worth keeping just one piece? Thanks, |

Keep the Speedy 9300 and save up for the PO. Some things are worth waiting for. It may be a little additional money but it would be worth it in the end.

Be proud of your 9300!!
The 9300 Speedy is one of my favorite watches today - AND at the prices I'm seeing the watch sell for in the secondary market today, I have no problem calling it the very best watch in the world at that price! - just my opinion.
I enjoy having one of the finest, most legible and easiest to use chronograph movements in the world. I love the way the case was left with a thinner, more traditional profile to keep within the roots of Speedys...yet the side view of the sandwiched movement is mesmerizing to see. Similiarly, the raised crystal glass has all the benefits of sapphire, while a side and/or angled view of the dial gives you the feel of the traditional acrylic. For me, the size, fit and comfort of the case and bracelet is absolutely perfect as well. Like most others, I say enjoy your 9300 and save up for the Planet Ocean. btw, this is my first Omega, and I consider myself an ex-Omega basher for the past two decades. I'm now waiting for my second - PO in Blue Liquid. Last edited by Palmasea; 26 November 2012 at 03:27 PM.. Reason: Added quick pics! |

I currently own the PO 8500 and am pining for a Speedmaster 9300. I'd suggest saving for the PO and not mess with the good thing that you've got going. If you are like me, I'd much prefer to have the latest movement in a Speedmaster and wait, then to have two similar watches with differing movements.
