1973 Oyster
So, I have this Oyster Perpetual apparently, by the serial number, was made in 1973. That date seems correct since the watch was presented to my father December 1974 for 25 years service. I don't have the box or the bracelet. My father always wore it with a nylon strap and I never saw a bracelet. He was a practical man and didn't go in for the bling- this plain and simple watch suited him well. Would it have originally come with a bracelet?

I'm sure you could buy one with a bracelet or on strap, but I think all Rolex Oysters of that era would have OEM bracelets available, so whatever model you have, you can find the appropriate bracelet. Post a pic and the members here will tell you what bracelet is correct!

For now, I'm inclined to go with the strap. I received it head only.
