Montblanc Boheme Paso Doble Fountain Pen
I am interested in the Montblanc Boheme Paso Doble Fountain Pen. It has a retractable nib, which I rate very high on coolness scale, plus the design, color and finish, 18k nib make pretty nice little package. Hand fit, balance and weight seem to work great for me.
Has anyone heard of problems with the retractable mechanism? I am also considering the Aurora Dante Inferno special edition but have not actually seen or touched it, so would have to purchase blind (uncomfortable with). Any thoughts on the Aurora Dante Inferno vs. the MB Paso Doble? Thanks Chuck |

I have a black Boheme that I bought a number of years ago. When I write a few sentences, the nib retracts. Drives me nuts. Don't know if MB has fixed this over the past few years...

Thanks, MB boutique said they have a locking mechanism once nib out but could be salesperson-speak, your experience is good to know as the model I am looking at is a $1,000 pen

I know the MontBlanc Boheme's are very nice pens but they only take cartridges if I remember correctly.....I prefer the ones which will take a cartridge or a converter. With converters you have more choices in colors of bottled ink you can use...since you can use any brand's bottled ink!!!
Take it easy.....Leo

Correct, Boheme uses cartridges only and I do prefer converter. The retractable nib on the boheme is just kinda neat to use.
