Tudor Value

I was recently offered a midsize Tudor Submariner for $800.00. The watch appeared to be in good condition cosmetically but only runs intermittently. When shaken or wound it would run for a short time then stop. The movement appeared to be clean and correct for this model. The rotor spun freely. The seller said the movement needed a cleaning and oiling.

Your opinions and suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

p.s.
The watch had the Rolex engraving on the caseback. I believe it had a Rolex crown. The bracelet had the Tudor shield and the folding pieces were stamped with the Tudor name. I don't know how old it is.

Hard to say with limited info. The mid size don't quite hold the same value as the full size. Also, how old is it? The older it is [i.e. more Rolex attributes, crown, case, bracelet] the more value it would hold. Pics would help. But I think you need to include the cost of a complete service into the total price.
Good luck,
dP
