My New Purchase

As much as I adored the new Airking, the dial was stunning, I greatly missed the date feature and so sold the AK. Having some money, I popped in to Watches of Switzerland.

I wanted to buy pre-owned knowing that buying brand new was out of the question. However, I also wanted the peace of mind gained from buying from an AD.

I had decided that I wanted a Datejust or a a date. Wanted to move away from the sports range, as I have had numerous models over the years.

WOS had two DJ in stock a T/T and all S/S version. Finally settled on the S/S version. The clean dial and engine turned bezel really caught my attention. Not sure if it's my age, but tastes seem to be changing, because I've always gone for dark dials, however the cleanliness look of the lighter dials really appeals to me at the moment.

It came fully overhauled and refurbished by Rolex Bexley, and so has one years service warranty from Rolex and One year Watches of Switzerland warranty.

Got to say, that from now on, if available, pre-owned seems good value for money, especially when purchased from an AD.

Very nice, that engine turn bezel is a good find. They don't make those anymore.

Great looking watch Jon. I love the clean and classic look of a steel Datejust with a White Roman dial. Really a timeless classic.

Sure is Tony, and begs the question, if Pre-owned from certain AD's are this good, why buy brand new.
