Lead time when ordering a DD40 YG-White Roman

Hello. Hope everyone safe and well.

I am moving on to a DD 40, and want to match my DD36 with Roman on white dial. My AD didn’t have one, and quoted 1-6 weeks, not as difficult on PM/those.
It’s been almost 4 weeks.

Considering that I received an Aquanaut 5167a in 7 months, 2 years ago; Pepsi in 10 days last Xmas when I called him on spur of the moment, and I asked for a Daytona SS White then for June 8, and got it 3 days before! I am puzzled that a PM - yet popular dial, takes this long after all. He mentioned last week was a small delivery, and was hoping next week. It night be coming from Switzerland?

Any experience recently with long lead time ordering this model?. BTW they had a DD Rose Green Dial, a DD white gold and I think a yellow gold silver dial? All on display 3 weeks weeks or so ago + an SD 18k YG black dial -a beauty and very heavy... also on display. He told the SS still on display.
Thank you.

Not sure if you’ve heard, but there is a global pandemic right now. Your experiences from the last few years may not be relevant at the moment.

Good luck with the new DD; can't wait to see photos. I'm sure it will come when it does. I'm still waiting on a watch that was supposed to be delivered in April/May; latest estimate is September. It's been paid for for a while now. After four months the order had slipped four months.

Funny how it works on some watches that it takes a minute to get them in and with others they seem to appear. Your AD will get the watch, just sit tight.

So they said it could take 6 weeks, and you start complaining at 4

Are you dedicated to one AD only? There may be one in the case at another AD, 4 miles away.. this is not a BLRO or DayC white. PM watches are typically available as not everyone has the ability.

With how quickly he was getting hot models left and right. I’d be loyal to that one place. Look at his past threads.

I don’t ever complain, I have 75 + watches, so was wondering what experience was recently with PM orders.

Who hasn’t, and understanding that things are slower.
My experience in July was : a hulk in a week, and DJ 41 Blue in one day. So was surprised with a longer on PM for this particular one, albeit popular dial, but as fortunate to have large collection, is not a big issue. Just wondering if other were finding some PM watches to be taken longer these days, in general.

Thanks

It’s a collection of lifetime. Half were my parents and grandparents and an uncle.

Thanks for letting me know. I have to stick with my AD, as they have been so good and put me for a 5711, and with the track record I do get what I ask .

But good to know!

Cheers.

Well then, I guess that is just how long it’s going to take. If you’re that good of a customer ( which obviously you are) it looks like it could be another 2 weeks for you. Can’t wait to see it!!
