Got a call from my out of state rolex ad that my long awaited (about a year?) 116518ln Paul Newman dial had come in. My first oysterflex, so any advice for a 7 inch flat wrist is greatly appreciated. My ymii has 4 links on 6 side, and 6 links on 12 side. We compared a while back using the ad's spare straps to come up with ee and eg. This appears to be consistent with the below chart, but the links counted on ymii seem to suggest one size lower for each...ed and ef? Any help is greatly appreciated. I wear my watches normal and above wrist bone on smallest part of wrist...not loose like a bracelet, but not tight enough to leave marks. Btw, my ymii clasp is in middle position with easylink retracted to provide future options. I once had a white dial 116520 and look fwd to adding this yg ceramic bezel beauty to a bit of a chrono heavy collection. Hope everyone is doing well and has a great weekend. Btw, wrist shot below was sent to me by ad, who I recall has a smaller wrist.

Super congrats - this 116518LN keeps calling me, in this specific configuration. Let us know how you like it! Would love to hear some first hand wrist review.

Hi, I wear 10 links on my Daytona 116500 (5 and 5). For me ee and ee or Ed and ef are the perfect fit perfect for oysterflex From my research I’ve discovered that each letter of the oysterflex strap represents a link. E.g: (a=1/b=2/c=3/d=4/e=5 and so on) I find this method for sizing (I have two oysterflex watches) is way easier and more accurate vs trying to figure out their charts. Hope that helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That is a very sharp Daytona. I usually prefer mine in SS but I could go for that one. That dial makes it pop!

Congrats, fantastic reference.
I would think E on the six o'clock side and F on the 12 o'clock side would be good for your wrist. That combination was just a hair too big for my 6.75 wrist. |

6.5" wrist here. I wear D at 6 o'clock and E at 12 o'clock. For comparison, on Oyster bracelets, I wear 4 links at 6 and 5 links at 12.
In your case, I think D-F would be a good fit, especially if you wear your watches on the skinnier part of your wrist. Remember that you can play with the micro-adjustments as well. They can make a big difference. By the way, those "fins" on the inside of the Oysterflex have always left a mark for me, but it's not bothersome. You may experience the same. Excellent choice, by the way. Love that PN dial! |
