1997 16610 questions...
Hi guys. I haven’t posted in over a year. Maybe over two. I don’t remember. Life n stuff...
Anyway, getting back onto my 16610 project. And I’m sure it was a 93150 bracelet but the cert says 9315. Is this normal? Anyone with a U serial care to comment? Thanks in advance! |

I have U serial from 1997 with 93150 bracelet.
I think yours is correct. Cheers https://www.instagram.com/fliegerb777/

Yeah, the 93150 is correct for the year; my question was about the cert, which shows 9315. Maybe they all did and I didn’t notice before, but it was a good indicator of original bracelet type for older watches.
I just wanted someone else with a cert to check theirs and see if mine is normal, or some kind of fluke. I think 9315s were still available through service for older watches in the 90’s, but not installed new ever, as far as I know. But I’ve been wrong before about Rolex and what they do... |

The 9315 is not a typo. On the USA warranty papers, the last four digits of the style number found at the top of the warranty paper indicate the model number of the bracelet. (The 9315 Oyster wasn't available on Submariners during the 1990s.)
Examples are: 9315 is 93150 6251 is 62510 7836 is 78360 7879 is 78790 and so forth with the other bracelets

Ok. I knew it wouldn’t have had a 9315 but I assumed they spelled out the full bracelet number.
Thank you Springer, that was exactly what I was looking for. |

Yes, they were. Used on Tudor models much later than Rolex too.
I was just wondering about the cert, and Springer answered it. |
