Best AD for a Daytona waiting list? (Beginner)

For a newbie. Never a business with an AD.

Which is the best for a beginner?

Do you plan on purchasing multiple watches?

Right?

If there was one, it would be the best AD for a Daytona for about 5 minutes.

I'd agree. Build up business by going in regularly and purchase easy-to-find rolexes such as a lady's datejust, explorer II or even another brand of watch (IWC, Omega, Tudor) to build up reputation. Or - as above post, discuss a possible multiple watch deal that includes the Daytona. At the end of the day, if you can't afford multiple watches or the small loss of reselling the "reputation watches", you might just be better buying one on the Grey market.

Buy "reputation watches"

Try buying other Rolexes or other watches the AD sells first (IXC, Tudor etc). From other threads, you may need $50K - $75K of "reputation watches" or jewellery to get your name on any sort of list under 18 months :-)

Beginner with deep pockets, pick one. If you spend enough you will get one. Outside of that, put 19k-20k together and start firing offers into grey dealers.

best AD is whichever AD you're going to spend $100k to be considered on the list able to purchase. if not that then....

1) they will put you on list but will NEVER get the call
OR
2) they won't put you on a list

I don’t think you need to spend that much

That’s not necessarily true of all ADs. I got one directly from an AD and spent a lot less than that.

Just buy grey and save yourself the time.
Unless your AD is a family member or friend, it’s gonna be tough to get one within a 3-5 years.

Just save yourself lots of hassle and skip to an OF Daytona which shouldn’t be easy enough to get

F these games. Buying multiple watches just to have the one you want? No, no, no. It's a luxury watch, not a necessity. Do not support these abhorrent dealer tactics. Wait it out. You do not need a Daytona today!

Went yesterday to my AD to change my choice of waiting list. Had a peek of their iPad, and my file had the field VIP filled with “no”.

Gonna wait a long time lol.
