I cant decide!!
Well I went back to my local AD and just couldnt decide!! My choices are:
SS Daytona with black face for 11200 GMT 2c - M serial ( brand new ) for a price of 7500 ( roundabouts) Milgaus with black face ( not the super crystal version ) for 7700 I love them all but cant afford them all !!! I was wondering what the best value would be of the 3? I also have to consider that I do wear them alot as well. I really want to jump at the daytona but have a problem paying the extra above the MSRP, with that being said if it is still the best long term value of the three I will jump at it. Please help me as it is driving me crazy !!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance |

Your choice is really simple. In trying them all, which one really smiled back at you. Only you know that answer. Good luck in your decision.

And as far as I know, Bill would pay over MSRP in all three cases: SS Daytona 116520: MSRP = 9,200 US $ SS GMT II 116710LN: MSRP = 6,825 US $ Milgauss (regular): MSRP = 6,200 US $ I for my part would take my business elsewhere!

Well they all smile at me actually.... To tell the truth the 50th ann Sub with the green bezel smiles at me but I already have 2 Subs.... The Daytona I know is very desired but not sure it is a everyday watch, the others I would have no problem wearing all the time. Seeing as 1 didnt really smile at me I thought I would try the logical thing and choose according to bang for your buck value...If the Daytona gives it even at over 2K above list then so be it , I wish I had a extra 30K sitting around and the choice would be so much easier.
I really appreciate this board, thx for the help. |

Of course the personal attraction is key. No one can answer that for you.
Just sold a SS Daytona -- don't miss it. The movement is great but I had too many chronos and not enough things in need of timing. There is no magic in the SS model. For the price they are asking you could get a GM TT model with a much more interesting face. Millys -- you either like them or you don't. I don't. GMT-IIC -- what I suggest you buy if you don't wanna spend "Daytona" bucks. Latest Rolex update; awesome bracelet, new Parachrom mainspring, ceramic bezel, etc. You also get one the the most useful complications that can be in a watch, the second time zone. I know it is not a big deal to many folks, but your other choices don't even have a date complication. Good hunting. Count on hundreds of conflicting opinions here. You'll wish you just decided on your own. |

Now this here is a tough choice, sadly the only one who can know is you with your prefrence using our suggestions. All three will satisfy you but desfinately shop around if possible but for me I would take the GMT Master IIc.

ARGHHHHHH..... Well I went back to the AD today and have ruled out the Milgauss anyways. So it is between the GMT 2C and the Daytona with either the black or White face as he has both... The black faced one which I prefer personally has the red chrono hands and red accents in the face which I find attractive.... Now if I can just get over the bucks above the list price ( But finding it very difficult ) I will phone around Canada tomorrow to source out a dealer which is a little more reasonable I hope. Is there many Canadian TRF people here with good sources??? Still having a hard time deciding but will post pics when I make up my mind.

I think his prices are referring to CAD prices as for Rolex here our MSRP is a bit higher then USA's msrp. I pretty sure he's including the taxes and with discount. Anyhow just try them all on and which ever sings to you will be the one. |
