Sea Dweller 126600 or Submariner Date

Dear forum members.

I am thinking to add another Sub-sytled watch in my collection.

At the moment I have a PAM 112, Tudor BB GMT and Moonwatch.

I am undecided between the classic sub date or the new Sea Dweller.

My wrist is 7.7 inches, so also the 5 digit sub and GMT LN that I had were on the small fit side for my wrist.

What do you suggest between the two? Price difference is not a factor of the decision... Furthermore any advice on Wait time for both ( in USA or Europe)?

thanks

In your case the SD43 would probably look great with your size wrist. Very much personal preference between the two, both are fantastic! Just buy what you’ll enjoy the most!

I'd go SD43 with your wrist size. It’ll look great and, I have a similar size wrist and would go that route if I was looking for a basic SS sub type piece.

I would go with the SD43. As I have mentioned in other threads, I think the SD43 is the perfectly proportion Rolex. I have a 7.6 inch wrist.

With your wrist size, 100% the Sea Dweller it’s the bigger and better version of the Sub

Given your wrist size the 126600 is a no brainer (IMO). I had an 116610 LN and was quite content with it until I was teased by the local AD. He had one stashed in the back for another customer so I left with my sub (suddenly not so content). The SD wasn’t even on my radar. For me everything about it was “better” than the sub. The AD never came through and after a year of waiting I went grey and made the trade in Jan. (Enter the obligatory statement about the sub greatness of your choice here). I’ve not missed it one bit.

With your wrist go for the SD43!!! You will love it! I have both (SD43 and SUBC DATE) and the SD43 is my grail (my wrist is only 6.75).

At your wrist size, welcome to the SD43! Or SD50 if you want mk1. ;)

certainly the SD43 for your wrist size. larger bezel size and full marking means better proportion and more wrist presence. its mesmerising. plus its still a relatively easy to obtain one among the hot sport models.

With a 7.7 inch wrist, I believe the SD43 will simply fit you better, so go for it.

another vote for SD43. I am 7.5in wrist and it feels very comfortable and well proportioned.
