Got calls from two ADs for CHNR

Got calls from two ADs near me for CHNR they just received within a day of each other. I bought from the AD closest to me who will soon have in-house Rolex service. He’s also a Breitling dealer which aligns with my collection and interest. I started the search a month ago. I agree with many of you who commented the TT root beer looks much better in person.

Soo question will the root beer be worth more than a stainless. As in will it deprecate because as Pepsi are going for more and it seems a root beer is easy to get now . I foresee rose gold coming to submariners and that will change the game

I agree with Springerman. Everose will be a growing area for Rolex. And this confirms what I have thought, while the CHNR is well regarded by Rolex buyers, it is more available than people think. My AD has suggested more than once he could get one for me in 2-3 weeks. I think this model and Everose in general will increase in popularity going forward, and I think we will probably see a RG Sub in the not too distant future.
Of course like PM and TT watches in general, will it hold less of its value vs SS in the resale market? Based on what we are seeing recently, probably. But this is a beautiful watch and Rolex RG is stunning. It's on my radar, though I have never owned a PM or TT watch. Enjoy!

I don't understand why anyone would buy this watch over MSRP from a grey as is literally available at every AD

Got an offer from AD too. I believe Rolex is manufacturing more of the CHNR TT/PM GMT than the SS BLRO/BNLR. Beautiful watch regardless.

CHNR is the most beautiful TT watch which Rolex made in last 20 - 25 years...

Nope. The multiple of people searching for SS is at least 5x

Shouldn't this be about 5 to 10% discounted by now, they're everywhere often

I guess it depends on your location. They are most definitely not readily available at literally every AD. If a fellow TRF member hadn't helped me out with mine (shoutout to Alan), I'd still be waiting for the call from one of the 4 or 5 AD's I inquired with 4+ months ago...I've also seen posts from other members who are still waiting on the call after months. I'm sure having a relationship makes a big difference.

I do not see this watch often and it sells quickly. I do think it will sell at a discount on the used market at some point because it is TT.

I think you guys in the USA have been spoilt with the current supply.

The availability here in the UK is still not good. I finally picked up mine today after waiting since Basel 2018.

My AD hasn't had any deliveries of the CHNR since sep 2018, and mine is the first watch since then.

It's my first gold (well, two tone) watch in my collection of mainly silver coloured metals. And, its a beauty, as we all already know!

Batch production I think leading to a lot of these showing up right now. Give it a month or two and availability might not be so easy. Not to mention it is gaining in popularity so driving a corresponding increase in demand. Rightfully so it's gorgeous!

Agree with this. This is exactly what happened with the BLNR when it first came out.

In 2018 when the CHNR was released I wasn’t blown away, and seeing the watch last year at the Rolex launch still didnt change it for me. Recently saw a sold one at my AD, and immediately told them I’d like one. Can’t seem to get it out of my head! It will be my first TT also. I’m excited for the day I get the call!

Nope. Rolex just makes much more TT than SS. I talked to the AD that offered me the watch, they already got more TT then the total of SS BLRO they got in 2018. TT is Rolex bread and butter

I fell in love at first sight. It just looks right with the brown. the old yellow TT with Black surround was just too bright for me.
The waiting will be a bitch! Hope you get it quick with what seems like batch released by Rolex. On another thread, someone managed to get one from stock in London (albeit connected) so definitely a batch came in.

But it'll be worth it. I love it more than my recent black SkyD.

This watch is for sure not readily available. When alpine offered to get one for a TRF member his list was like 10 people long. Also, if it is available, def not in a case. In any case, I believe this and the bluesy are the nicest TTs out there. Both are more spectacular in person than photos. I see Rolex getting expansive with the RG line but I don’t think I see it coming to the sub. Right now, it’s the only TT GMT but in the sub line there are already two TT colors. It’s possible once the new sub comes out in a year or two, they will do the same thing with it as with the GMT by discontinuing all TTs and gradually releasing them.

Ok,, could be me as ran into like two or three of them. I do travel a lot. It is a nice looking piece, yet demand really isn't that high for it seems. Maybe here on this board.

It looks nice, yet feel the demand is overblown on this board. Give it a year or two, they'll be going below msrp is my prediction.
