I Know I Need Pictures

But I'm curious anyway. I'll be seeing my dad, and perhaps more importantly, his late 80's possibly early 90's TT Blue Sub. Ignoring it's famed wrist shot on the cover of Fine Homebuilding a dozen years ago, what would be an expected ballpark cost? I've never seen one of that vintage used.

Can I assume a Tritium lume? How about the crystal?

Other than getting the crystal replaced, it's had regular servicing. I am sure it has neither box nor papers and I once recall a watchmaker asking him if he used it to pound nails. It was/is a true beater.

And yes, I intended to risk the ridicule of the family and take pictures to post of the damn thing.

Well, if the dial has never been exchanged, you bet it would be a Tritium dial! But you can't "assume" any lume on it, I would say, since the hands and indices of a TR dial would not glow anymore due to the halflife degression of TR.

Crystal would be sapphire.

Value? About 4 to 4,5 K, I would say. But as stated, pics would help.

Matt,

Your dial will say "SWISS T<25" if original tritium.

Yeah, I'll have to check that when I get to New England. My dad doesn't see very well, or for that matter care very much:)
