Never seen so many in the wild...
I was at the Boardwalk Ferrari Car Show in Plano, Texas today and I have never seen so many Rolex's and Panerai's in the wild before.
What caught my attention was this guy. Why do you ask? Because he was wearing this... You don't see too many of those in the wild. A GMT Mater II blinged out to the max. Sorry for the bad photo, I had to do a 100% crop on the picture. It would have been strange for me to pull out my macro lens. By the way, that's his Lambo in the background. |

Wow, Vu. That's pretty cool to see an eyeful like that one, and he seems pretty happy to have you take his pic. Did you tell him you were going to put it on the forum? You think that's his daily wearer?

Too much bling for me. It is interesting to see one "in the wild". Great day for a car show. Not too many car shows in Mansfield.

I think the place where I have seen the most Rolexes in the wild are various locations along the Las Vegas Strip like the Fashion Show Mall for example.
Back here in San Francisco, I would see a lot of Rolexes in this shopping area known as the Crocker Galleria and I also spot a few here and there over at Union Square. By the way, the guy in the picture has an impressive combination. Rolex and Lamborghini, what else can someone ask for?

Great watch if you are into that kind of thing BUT the GMT ability is greatly compromised imo without the 24 hour markings. Still great craftmanship on the watch but I would have found it more "usefull" on a non GMT model.

Some people are a little over the top. The car and the watch are just a little too showy for me. Not that I would mind having the choice, but there are classier ways to show that you have money.

When I fly IST to JFK and back I always see 2-3 Rollies just from where I sit. Do the math on that!

Not too far from him are a bunch of snipers, body guards and a brinks truck to put him in in the event of an attempted robbery

Just about a guarantee he got that GMT at The Wynn Las vegas. They have stuff like that by the pile in there and I've personally never seen them anywhere else. They also have a Ferrari dealership withing 20 yards of them.

He actually got it from deBoulle, it's an independent AD in Dallas. It's one of the best jewelry store I've been too. The owner of deBoulle actually races a Ferrari and his car is the first photo in my thread on "How I spent my Saturday".

Completely agree. No reason to show to many dimonds, but I would keep the lambo :-) |

Tokyo subway sightingsssss
On a recent trip to Tokyo I was amazed to see the number of Rolex worn on the subway. [In addition the subway system made me feel the US was about 10 years 'behind the times.']
