Opinion on a simple weekend Rolex watch

I am thinking to add a classic simple piece for weekends.
Choice is in between the blind sub 14060M 2 liner and the Explorer I 214270 t-Rex.

Opens to any blind sub 2/4 liner and ExpI t-Rex / lume 3-6-9
I wonder which gets more love here on TRF.

Either one would work; however, as they are completely different in style and appearance, really depends on which one you like more.

You answered in posing your question! Simple, classic. Sub. Either will be AMAZING to own; but I am particular to the quintessential class of a Submariner. 2-liner When I have my way, I'm adding a 5513 bubble Mk1

The 214270 was my first Rolex, and the 14060M my second; I prefer the Sub.
Maybe if I had a 36mm Explorer it would be different, but I feel 39mm is too big for that watch.

I voted for the sub as I have a 14060M. Love it.
It could easily be an "only" Rolex.
Not sure what you mean by "blind" sub. Do you mean the 2 liner?

Get the short handed Explorer so your weekends look longer! :p

(joking aside, both beautiful watches. Sub gives you the rotating bezel that you can use to time parking meters, etc., when doing weekend things.)

cyclops means one eye. so if it has no eyes then its blind

T-rex because the new 214270 has longer arms and T-rex have small arms :D

I chose the sub but honestly its 51/49.
