Thoughts on fine tuning the trio :)
Hey guys! Still unsure about keeping the hulk. I got it for a good price so I am keeping it LNIB for now. I am sure I could flip and make a little money if I decide to. I am considering some options because I have an itch for a chronograph. I have about $3000USD to play with at the moment over the top of the 3. Here are some options:
1. Add preowned speedmaster for $2500 and flip speedy and hulk down the road for a 116500 (In the poll this would be the "keep the hulk" option). 2. Flip hulk for a 116520 (I may actually prefer the 116520 to the 116500, hard call..flip 116520 for 116500 when I can compare in person). 3. Flip hulk for an Omega Dark side of the moon (Pitch black). Really cool watch without the annoying red color on the original DSOTM and it has the most lume of any omega (im a lumeaholic)! Can be had for 35% off retail on grey market and really nice looking. See pictures below. With money left over I would order a super Jubilee for BLNR ! |

I love the hulk so I would say keep the hulk and save up until you can get 116500. Great collection BTW.

I'm not sure if I'd take the intermediate step of the 520.... In this case I'd say go for broke, flip the hulk and go straight to the 500c!

I just figured option 2 would give me the opportunity to compare 116520 and 116500 directly to make sure I know which one I prefer. |

Really, I wouldn't do anything now except enjoy those beauties. All you need to do is wait for a D500 to come along and then you're set.

to me, I'd just decide what I like best prior to buying anything.
If you like the D500, you can wait and buy a speedy now; if you like the 520 best, go for the flip; if you like the DSOTM over either daytona, then go for that. |

Funny, I would keep the hulk and flip... the blnr and get explorerI 2016 and the speedy. The hulk has something very special that s worse keeping in one' collection. It definetly offers great diversity to yours. This being said i also dream of a Daytona... the wg, blue 2016. Sweet dream :-)

Option 2 makes the most sense, the others seem to be more of a hassle, just stick with Rolex.

Option #2 makes the most sense, as you can decide which Daytona you would prefer!

You have arguably the ultimate SS Rolex dive watch (definately the ultimate Sea Dweller), and for many the ultimate SS Rolex GMT.
What your collection is missing is the ultimate SS Rolex chronograph which (having owned both steel and gold with ceramic bezel Daytonas) is the 116500 for the simple reason that the ceramic bezel is more practical, easier read and contrasts the case beautifully. So I'd keep the Hulk and go for a pre owned Speedmaster. If you have to flip the Hulk (and I wouldn't), then the ONLY watch I'd be flipping it for is a "proper" 50th Anniversary Sub - arguably the ultimate SS Sub due to its anniversary status |

add a speedy or do nothing. You just got those 3, there is no use in flipping them right after getting them.
