Bergeon 7825 vs. Horofix Pliers
I know there are some threads already about the best tools for removing bracelets...and that most people seem to like the Bergeon 7825. Does anyone have any experience with this Horofix tool?
http://www.esslinger.com/horofix-wat...ers-band-tool/ Any thoughts on which is better? Horofix is $90 vs. $150 for the Bergeon. Thanks! |

My experience with the Horofix hasn't been great. The notch is too narrow for quality spring bars and so it tends to slip and I've had the corners of the tools snap off. Thankfully they're replaceable but if I was doing it over I'd get the Bergeon.

Bergeon isn't so hot at all either. It takes practice to get those buggers off properly.

It does take some practice with either pair.
Don't practice on a piece you intend on keeping pristine. |

I found the Horofix tool a bit clumsy. Sold it on EBay and bought the Bergeon and found it much easier to work with.

Bought the Bergeon and returned it for the horofix. Cheaper and came with 2 different sized forks.

I just purchased the Bergeon 7825 (fine forks) recently and I'm very pleased with it. Ridiculously easy to remove bracelets from my Hulk and SD4K using this tool. I know people are big fans of the standard spring bar tools but I could never get it to work right.

I've never had the Bergeon but I did buy the Horofix and returned it. I found it to be clumsy and somewhat fragile as both of the fine fork ends broke.

Resurrecting this thread. It seems like there are only comparisons between the not so great Horofix tool https://www.esslinger.com/horofix-wa...ers-band-tool/ and the Bergeon 7825.
Does anyone have experience with this one? https://www.esslinger.com/horofix-spring-bar-tweezers/ Seems to be more like the Bergeon. Just wondering if the Bergeon is worth the extra $ ? Thanks! |
