Nice vid, one of the best releases in recent years for me. Feels like a Patek, which is a very high compliment.

Great watch and review. I would have one if I had smaller wrists and a bigger wallet! Think this is a better value than paying the premium for the SS Daytona.

Thank you and agreed. If we're talking a SS Daytona at MSRP, that's another story entirely.

I wondered: could we use a regular non-rolex strap (leather or rubber) to fit at the lug? I understand doing so forfeits the use of the OEM clasp. Thanks

It’s beautiful. One of my fav. Right now I can’t afford wearing a car on my wrist :). Maybe someday when I win the lotto.

Rolex calls it a steel dial.

I believe so, I've seen this discussed in another thread about the watch where someone did this successfully. As you said, the leather strap would require a different clasp.

Has anyone tried to fit the WG bracelet on the OF models? Crazy, I know, but I'm curious.

Edit: Nevermind, just got to that part of the video. Thanks!

Yes this is a steel dial which is quite rare in the Rolex universe.

Love the look of watch but why is Daytona so small? 38 mm/. Def not 40mm.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. Honestly, this watch excites me like no Rolex I've had before. There's just something so special about it.

The Daytona wears small for its size, but it is indeed 40 mm. The maxi cases and ceramic bezels on the Subs/GMTs/etc make them look much larger. I originally found the size of the Daytona to be too small, but now think its the ideal size.

Also, precious metal Daytonas have slightly larger cases than their SS counterparts.

I wish they had updated the SS models with the PM size cases. The difference is noticeable!

I never pay much attention to Daytona posts however this model really pops. Thanks for the video.
