This is an intriguing article, particularly for those of us who regularly dive our Submariners
and resist the non-tool watch fashion trends-whatever the source including Rolex.

While the dive watches receive a known high stress shock test, I am very interested
in improvements beyond the current KIF shock system used on the 3135
and 3130 movements. (Though the the very latest 14060 M references have the parachrome hairspring).
I think the newer Explorers have the Parachrome hairspring shock system which includes an arguably tougher spring. I would like to see the tougher shock system with Parachrome/parableue hairspring incorporated into all the Submariners.

Great article..I have even more faith in my 89 Sub now.its like Rolex over engineers their products ,and I feel warm and fuzzy because of this

Thanks for posting OP.

I wonder if the same testing is done again for the DSSD and SD43 when the watch is serviced, e.g. 125% of depth and helium test?
