Crazy because when you actually walk around the Harrods watch floor it is like a ghost town, the VC lady nearly fell off her chair when she saw me dare to enter her store. Meanwhile downstairs with Chanel, Gucci and LV etc it is standing room only.

I paid £38.5k for a brand new diamond dial 2 years ago-around £17k off the list price at the time.

Just because DSW and other sellers are "asking" 69K or so for the Plat Daytona does not necessarily mean buyers are paying that. It is still very much a niche piece with a small clientele who are wanting to buy it.

The Platona is an awesome watch and if I had an eight figure net worth I might considering purchasing one as the ultimate daily. Still, if I were to buy one and I wanted a Daytona (and others in addition, for that matter), I would want a bundle deal, especially if paying MSRP or near MSRP.

bundles never seem to work out to your benefit. You are better off getting what you really want from a grey dealer paying the premium. You also end up saving the hassle of dealing with an unwanted PM watch and needing to sell it later on.

The reason to bundle was to create a legacy purchase within the family. I wanted to buy the platona which would create hopefully purchase power to secure a stainless steel sports model for each of my sons. maybe white face Daytona and Batman? No flipping or anything else just wanted to secure a special moment and future for the boys...

A bundle will work with maybe a Sub, but probably not those hot SS, esp in London or the major cities, you'll need to wet their beak more.

You are probably best off going grey on all three, and getting the WG Daytona or DD40 instead of Platona will mean a similar outlay.

Maybe.I am not a bundling expert.Have never bought a Rolex in a package deal.
I suppose it depends where you shop.
