Pre Daytona help! PLEASE

This is my first post so here it goes.

I have a recently acquired Cosmograph Daytona for my 20th birthday present from my father. I joined this site to read up and learn about the Daytona series and the Submariner which I am looking at acquiring in the near future.

Getting to the point I have been reading about the Pre-Daytona's and I am very interested in them to say the least.

Any information that can be provided will be much appreciated.

Specifically interested in the 6238 and the 6234. I was given a 6234 by my father for my birthday and have just recently (the 13 of August) found out that it is not a daytona but what is called a " pre daytona." What is the difference between the 6234 and the 6238. I was looking at picking up a Ceramic sub when I ran across InterWatchs.com and they have a few 6238's has anyone had any business dealings with them?

I am 2 weeks new to the Rolex world and really know nothing about them, I am trying to read as much as i can on here though.

What would be some questions I would need to ask before purchasing any of the 6238's that they have?
