Casebudi cases have dimples in the base and lid that almost touch when you close the case, these dimples form the 'roll' that the watch band sits around.

Your watch will not and cannot get scratched in a casebudi, anyone suggesting this clearly doesn't own one.

They are the perfect travel case, I have several. They're small, light, cheap, and fit Rolex sport models perfectly.

I wonder if you gents accidentally bought the wrong size casebudi? I have two larger and several smaller. The only watches I've owned that fit the larger ones are AP diver and Breitling navitimer. All my Rolex and even pelagos fit the smaller one like a glove. For delicate stuff you can also use a polishing cloth as I did with my 5711

That said, the phase de lune looks slick. I love LV but don't want to draw any more attention to my watch storage than necessary.

This is good feedback. I decided to purchase a smaller casebudi. Seemed to be somewhat universal opinion.

I should have mentioned the small size is the best fit, but is looks like you're already on to it.

Correct, Casebudi works fine, bracelet is not able to move enough to scratch itself.

Thinking these negative reviews are due to people buying them in too large of a size.

So glad I found this thread.

I want something for travel but also just a nice case for storage in the safe (original boxes are way too big).

For single watch travel it sounds like the case budi is simple and effective. I had seen that on amazon but would've never bought it without this thread as I didn't appreciate the raised center aspect of it.

For safe storage, has anyone used the Hodinkee products? I love the lighter, warm brown they offer in their leather rolls; however the Phase de Lune cases seem to be well regarded so I may go that direction.

Thanks in advance,

Does anyone have experience with the Hodinkee rolls? I'm between one of those and the Phase de Lune for in safe storage (currently place them on a valet tray, which isn't ideal)...

For travel going to get the casebudi. I usually bring one watch but it's good to have something just in case.

Just bought this one from worn and wound
It's Harris Tweed and takes 2 watches
My DSSD fits OK and I'm going to make a couple of dividers for the bracelets

Sorry, I just saw that you asked me a question. Sterling and Burke in Washington DC. We visited the store while up there on vacation. I found it and really liked it, but did not purchase that day. She saved the card and called back to order it! They have great stuff!

Priced at $40 to $80? No thanks. I paid around $18 a few years back when they were still making them.

Casebudi are so similar there's no reason to pay a premium to get an 'O' rivited on the lid
