PAM 372 size
Is the PAM 372 too big for a 6.5 inch wrist?
Would you recommend the 44mm size instead? Would appreciate thoughts. Thanks, A

Shape of the wrist matters as much as if not more than size. Have you tried the 372 on? If the lugs are over skin you're good-to-go, if they're hanging off the sides I would opt for the 390.

besides diameter, it's in the shape of the wrist + what you want it for (casual weekend wear or something different). also, i've heard numerous people say the 372 wears more comfortably than the 1950s autos like the 312.

Agreed, the 312 fits me perfectly but the 372 is noticeably more comfortable due to the thinner profile & flat backside.

I'm 6.5" as well. Imho, A 44mm luminor in historic Case will look ok, 44mm lum in 1950'case will look just perfect, whereas 47mm panerais will look rather oversize, but hey, isnt panerai is about bigger size that stands out from others?

I'm 6.5" and the 47mm is sadly just a little too much for me.

As mentioned, it depends on the shape of your wrist. Give it a try. Hey, you never know.

I have like a 7" wrist or just over... It's a perfect fit, and so comfy, more so than any of my other Panerai's (380 rad or luminors 162,360, 390, et) it really fits perfectly.. Here are some pic's and comparos, I have a picture of it next to a 233... Not that much larger

It's all about personal preference. My wrist is probably a shade over 6.5 inches and I wear my 372 a lot, it doesn't feel as big as it sometimes looks in photos. Only way to known for sure is try one!

+1 on the shape pf your wrist.
You'll know when you try one or another 47mm case on your wrist. My wrist is 7.3", the 372 looked (for me) too large. I passed. Try it on and good luck. cheers richard |

372 have a Rad case and pretty thin so that 47mm is not too big. I have a 6.75 inch wrist and I don't think it's too big on me. It's all about preference. If you like it then get it. Best is to try it on and you make your own decision. Good luck.

Thanks for the comments
Probably have to try one on to know for sure..but my feeling is 47mm is too large. PAM 390 seems like a good option to try. Never had a PAM before. What do you guys think of 47mm Radiomir cases? Do they wear much smaller than the Luminor cases?

Here is mine on a 7 inch wrist. Actually wears better than my 88, I think you should try it on.

It's just TOO big for a lot of people - fact!
It's an amazing watch. But if you have just the slightest doubt - then don't get it. It's easy to get blinded when browsing this forum where everyone pads your back, and tell you that it looks great on you. But in reality, your wife, your boss and most importantly yourself might not think that a 47mm plexi scratchmagnet looks that cool outside the "Risti" world. It's an great watch, but the hype is even greater. Ask yourself if you would have bought it, if you walked into a jeweler without ever having heard of Panerai or Paneristi before? Some would, and they are the correct owners, but a lot wold not - mainly due to the size. And that's the reason many gets flipped at the moment. But hey, try it on. |

To me, it wears quite large due to the plain dial. I have 7.25" wrists. Owned a BP and thought it wore smaller than the 372 hands down.

47mm is a large watch and looks like a large watch on 99.5% of the people on this planet. That is part of the char.
The 372 wears a bit smaller because it has a manual wind movement with a flat back so many people can strap it on fairly well, but if you like the over-sized watch look is basically all personal preferences. While it wears 'smaller', or at least comfortably, it looks every bit of a 47mm watch, in part because it is all dial - there is no rotating bezel or anything (much like a IWC Big Pilot). Honestly, it looks a bit funny some people with thin arms and/or petite stature, but hey, I'm all for it if it makes somebody happy. It is a free world. Mine on 7 1/4 wrist I got an early one from the boutique but ended up flipping it a couple of weeks down. Partly because I felt so darn self-conscious wearing that big watch (or was the watch wearing me?), I took it on some business meeting and perhaps it wasn't distracting other people, but it was distracting me! :-) Furthermore, it was in December so I was wearing long sleeves, jackets etc and that makes wearing a big watch a bit more of a hassle. It is a much better reference for the Summer. Net/net: the only way figure this one out is try it on and objectively assess how it looks in a mirror. I think it is a beautiful watch, it wouldn't be an everyday piece for me, but it is a fun watch to wear that will make you smile. Enjoy! |

Only one answer that is right. "depends how it fits your wrist"
For me (not everyone), I have a relatively flat 6.5" wrist and to me here is the sizing wear from smallest to largest. 1 45mm Manual Rad (210/292) 2 44mm Manual Lum and auto subs (111/390/24/25) 3 45mm Hi PR or auto Rad (287/268/190) 3 44mm Auto Lum (104/164) 4 44mm Manual 1950 Lum (233/289) 5 47mm Manual Rad (232) 6 47mm Hi PR Rad (339) 7 47mm 372 (no other case like it for now) 8 44mm Auto 1950 Lum (312/359) 9 47mm Auto Subs (305/382) 10 47mm Subzillas (194/187) Doesn't make sense right? But the 44mm Auto 1950s just wear horrible on my wrist. The shapes are not complimentary, so my answer is....it depends.
