Pam111

OK. My first Panerai in almost 3 years. After my headaches with the 233 it's taken me a while to get another but recently I've been looking at my old straps and wanting to wear them and a week ago my watchmaker and I were talking and he said he was thinking of selling his 111 as he's just a Rolex guy and I decided to grab it as the price was right and if it came down to it I could sell n do just fine so here is my 111 on a LV strap I had made and never got to wear.

Now I'm debating letting this go already BUT I want to replace it with a PAM140. Just wondering how the gold n carbon fiber dial would look with brown straps?? Anyone??

Yes it is, it was the dang straps sitting in the watch box which finally made
me decide to keep this one instead of add it to inventory but the problem is
as I said it now has me wanting a Gold model instead

ETA Just thought about it... All my straps have SS buckles so I think I should stick stainless haha

What models have there been with a brushed case and bezel???

I just worry this is going to be a scratch magnet....

I think a 243 is next on this list.

Not many in SS... 356, Submersibles... otherwise Ti models, I suppose...

PAM111 has left the building....

It was a brief but torrid love affair.
It made me realize I needed a Panerai in the stable again but that
the 111 just was not for me with the polished case and bezel.

I had always lusted after a 243J (tritium dial and quick strap change).

Luckily a dealer I have worked with in the past had a need for a 111 and had a 243J so we worked out a trade that was good for both us!

Tuesday my 243 will be here!

Whats next??
I don't know... I came close to getting a PAM140 instead but then reality kicked in and reminded me all my buckles are steel..
I could see Ti next as I want brushed. I have always loved the 279 on the older bracelet but honestly I kinda think Id rather stick with no date but gotta find one with quick change strap buttons if there is one??

276 has no date and quick strange change system... quite pricey though, as is a tourbillon and a LE of 100 pieces...

The 276 is quite a piece but thats a little out of my range haha

Just realized this is the shortest I have even owned a watch which was not bought for resale......

Yes, the 111 was literally 'here today, gone tomorrow'

Good luck with the hunt for another PAM
