Hi J: Thanks for writing me. Since ya did, could you answer a couple of questions about the watch. You'll save me time and shoe leather. I'll be brief- for a change.

Say I wanted a Chrono 44 immediately, and I do, what:
-is the MSRP and 'Street price?'
-is the gold solid. If so, is it
18 karat? (doesn't matter, just curious)
-mechanical or quartz?
-are they readily availabe, what year is yours?
Last...I've only known one Breitling owner and although his was quartz, it was an all stainless steel beauty. In fact quite similar to yours, but I never had a chance to ask: are Breitlings generally durable? I'm sure they're built as well as they look.

So much for brevity! Answer as you please or ignore as you see fit.(pls don't ignore!)

Again thanks for your message and you too enjoy the weekend. In Toronto it's like 80f and sunny. Take care,.
Mark

I have the 1461 which is almost too hard to read now...a young man's watch perhaps.

For now I wear my Cosmonaute ...dials are a bit more legible.

My Seawolf. It's exactly what I want and I like everything about it. There is no other Breitling I like more.

I've always admired Breitling for quality and accuracy, but I had absolutely no idea made so many cool *looking* watches!

I tells ya' - it was love at first sight on that TT Roman numeral piece. (See my earlier post.)

Best,
Mark

There are probably 2-3 Breitlings I'd love to buy at the moment, but this one is my fav.

I know I'm in the minority with this one but something about the black/gold just works

tried it on at a local AD but as many of you know, B's can be had at a fair discount

My Emergency. I originally purchased one new back in 2009. Sold it after a year and a half. Had the opportunity to pick one up on eBay about a year ago for a ridiculously low price. My wife’s engagement ring but a scratch on the crystal as we were walking one day - have a replacement just need to get it installed. Love the story behind these and the capability they have -

I must admit I do have a bit of a soft spot for Breitling. My 809 is one of my favourites...

I used to have a Colt, i love Breitling however the resale value is horrible… I feel like they make true toolwatches though. I love the Superocean,Avenger lines

The new emergency is massive.... Almost monsterous.... All titanium and a whopping price tag of $18k. But it does have both the old and the new emergency frequencies and the price tag will be justified if/when someone actually needs to use it.

The new Emergency in my opinion is just not wearable - I don’t have small wrists either.

Waiting to buy a leather strap for it and husband's Tudor GMT to come back from service, so i can add this to my rotation lol
His wrist is too big for us to share the same strap.
