Datejust 116233 Crown not screwing all the way down

I just bought a second hand datejust and the crown doesn’t seem to screw all the way down. I have read conflicting info on whether or not it is supposed to be like that. The watch is in mint shape otherwise. I had it evaluated by a third party and it was basically rated as perfect across the board. Just wanted to get your thoughts on the gap between the crown and case. It seems bigger than the gap on other datejust models I’ve seen. Pics attached
