114060 vs 126600

I'm considering getting rid of my 114060 and going with a 126600. Has anyone done this? Thoughts?

Funny Chuck, but I've actually considered doing the opposite

I own both and for me, the 114060 is just so much easier to wear. I realize many owners of the SD43 wear theirs as dailies, but for me its a rotation watch only. YMMV

Dont get me wrong, I love the SD43, but I'd be hard pressed to have it as a one and only. As part of a collection its stellar.

I did....I upgraded for a couple of reasons a couple of which include a date function, something more unique, better proportions and thought the 50th anny was a nice touch with the red line. Ultimately though I'm a one watch guy and for that reason I moved it along for a different 40mm reference (GMT) but as Brian mentioned, in a collection it's a real treat.

I did in fact sell my 114060 for the SD43. I am 6’3”, 260lbs, with 8” wrists. The Sub always seemed to small for me. The SD43 is perfect!

I think this decision depends on your wrist size. For me, 7.5” wrist, I couldn’t opt fort the sub or any 40mm case and went all the way up to the SD43.

Yeah I have a 8'' wrist on a good day sometimes 9''. I added a couple extra links on my 114060. Will I have to add a couple extra links on a SD43?

Have had a 114060 twice and neither lasted any length of time, the 126600 is far nicer. Do it.

I bought a 114060, fully intent on having it replace my SD43. But after I got it, I realized how different the two watches were, so I'm keeping both for now.

If I could only have one, it'd be the 114060. I'm glad I don't have to choose though!

I’m on a waiting list for a 114060 or 116610LN, but after some advice from guys on this board I am thinking about changing to the SD43 due to having a 9 inch wrist it may suit better.

SD43 doesn't need a huge wrist IMO. Wears similar to an AP15300 and smaller than 15400. The only reason to not go for one is if you would rather fly under the radar. It has quite the wrist presence compared to the sub.

I went 114060 to 126600 to 116610. Just right.

I have a smaller wrist, around 6.75", but I love the 114060 for exactly the reason bolded. The absence of the magnifier gives you just a touch of stealth which I really appreciate.

I've had more random people comment on my SD43 than any yellow/rose gold watch I've owned.

I'm having a hard time deciding. I'm also looking at the 126660.

I own a 126600 since May 2017, and when I first got it, I could take if of my wrist for a good year... I also have a 114060, a 116600, 16600, 16610, and after a while wearing the 126600, it feels good to wear 40mm watches again... And after I wear ceramic bezel for awhile, I like to go back to the more "vintage feel" aluminium bezel again.. In short, if you are like me, keep your 114060 and buy a 126600, so you can rotate them for a change...

I’d say it depends on your wrist amongst other things.
For me with an under 7 inch wrist, the SD43 is pretty large. Also from a comfort point of view whenever I’ve come close to buying one, the fact it’s that bit heavier has always put me off.

The ceramic sub still has huge presence, and the 40mm is just perfect for me. I’d even say it wears big for a 40mm due to the squared lugs etc.

Overall I’ve just never made the move to SD43 despite a few chances from an AD. Sub is just the sweet spot for me (GMT ceramic even more so), and the 114060 is best of the bunch in my opinion

Definitely.
Wider hour hand is a better balance.
Red letters.
Less common.

I was going to do so but eventually returned to the Sub.
The SD43 is a stunning watch, don’t get me wrong, but the Sub is much easier to wear as an everyday watch with a 7’ wrist.

Going from sub to sd really made the 40mm watches look tiny. No complaints though, I love the 43.

I owned an 114060. To be truthful, I ended up growing bored of it.

Having big wrist you can afford to wear SD 43; anyway the Sub no date offers a better compromise for any occasion (office, dinner events, free time and sport)
