Fortunate to have both and I prefer the 116500LN as my daily. The AP is an attention getter and scratch magnet. The Daytona is just a beauty of a workhorse.

Initially I wanted the 15400 but found a great deal on the 15450 and it turned out to be a better fit after all.

For reference. 15450 on my ~6.3 in wrist. It's an awesome piece! Hope you can find one and try it on. Definitely do that before making the decision as you'll have to make sure you like it on the wrist

If you have a boutique near you, go and drop in once all the COVID-19 craziness dies down.

I my opinion I would recommend the Daytona since I Know they fit well. But I would recommend just to wait until set ADs re-open just to tray and see first hand which suits you best.
Good luck man

Thank you for the feedbacks, by the way. Do you have another account ending in 32?

My wrist is a bit larger than yours so I would probably lean towards the 15450 once the global fiasco ends. Gorgeous picture by the way.

I think the 37mm AP watch on the OP wrist size will work. The 116500 is only 39mm. If you feel Daytona is a big watch then get the 37 mm AP. The AP RO is a stunning, cool, thin watch.

Now the questions come to what color dial to get... certainly blue is highly desirable but I think all the color works really well with the royal oak..

Someone mentioned that I should let my blro go in exchange of the royal oak led me to thinking of a consolidation effort.

Guys, what are your thoughts of consolidating between the

3417 iwc Portuguesier
116500 Daytona white
126710 BLRO

To a 2 watch collection
Reverso tribute duoface in blue and white
Ap royal oak (unsure of which collar dial to pick)

With the new consolidation, I will have my dress watch and a dual time zone reverso, added with the sport watch and date function of the royal oak. ?

What are your thought gents?

I think it would not be a good time to sell/consolidate given the dip in the market.

With that being said, depends on your lifestyle. I don't really dress up that often to need a traditional dress watch (time only, leather band).

When I do need to dress up, I feel my DD40 or 15450 can fit in well with a suit.

If I were you and was looking to thin the herd, I'd move the IWC. Keep either the BLRO or Daytona depending on your needs. Pick up the 15450

Still a good idea to keep a rolex sport watch in the stable.

The AP is a sporty watch. It looks good in office or casual clothes, weekend shorts, linen clothes. It is, however, not a sports watch. It does not look good in sports clothes, workout attire. And unlike a Daytona, you probably should not wear it during sports activities.

I think blue is the colour to get if you can get it. The grey looks good but looks a bit washed out IMO. Can’t really go wrong with any of them!
