GMT a good watch? Need help

Hey Guys I'm having an issue here, I currently own a "Hulk"116610 LV which is magnificent and a dream of mine that came true. And i plan to buy a "Pepsi" 126710 BLRO the issue is do you think the GMT is very similar looking to the sub? or is it so iconic because its a Pepsi it doesn't really matter?

Very different from the LV Sub, specially cause of the Jubilee bracelet. Different complication, it’s lighter and slimmer watch. Also dressier.

Get it!

^^^This. The Sub wears a bit bigger than the GMT. Pepsi is a classic with great history, so can't go wrong with it. Both would be super great watches to own and wear.

I have the hulk and sub date and recently got a rootbeer, haven’t worn the subs since
Gmt is a killer watch, stands out more with the bigger numbers

Definitely a great watch if you ask me. In terms of looks, it is definitely stand up as dressier and flashy looks comparing to the Sub.

Personally I think GMT has the most practical function of all professional models. Nowadays I don't think there are many people who go diving with their Subs or use Daytona as a stopwatch instead of their phones. That being said I use GMT functiin to look up second time zone all the time. It is very useful if you travel a lot or have friends, family in other country.

For someone who owns both GMT and Sub I could say that despite they are both great watches, they are two completely different watches.

I find with a sub I can quickly set a timer with the bezel, faster than a phone. GMT functions for me aren't so useful. I travel with work frequently but to pull a crown out and turn a wind is easy to move the hour hand. If I'm in a country a under a day then I don't bother.

Both lovely watches. Both look similar from afar to non watch geeks.

If you want a non simular looking Rolex sportsmodel then the SubC LV, get a Daytona. The Daytona has a different watch case and dial layout.

I agree with others. Sub and GMT are very different pieces, but both iconic. I think you’ll be glad to have both, and if not, you should be able to move either with ease.

I started with BLNR and shortly after added hulk. I had the same concerns at the time.

The Hulk is as different of a Sub as you can get. You could get any GMT and it will be completely different than the Hulk.

What do you mean other than ceramic? All current GMTs are ceramic.
You could go for the previous version of the GMT (16710) Pepsi or Coke with aluminum inserts. Obviously only pre-owned. Would save you +/- $1.000 compared to retail price from the BLRO (+/-$5.000 compared to grey pricing).

If you want another current GMT with a different color scheme you can go for the Batman (Discontinued on Oyster, only available preowned) or Batgirl (on Jubilee, available at AD if you have a good relationship).
Since you have the Hulk, you could technically also go for the GMT Black bezel (again, only on Oyster and pre-owned, as discontinued as well)

Third option could be to go for an Explorer II (Polar dial would be the most different from the Hulk). Definitely "different" and no ceramic bezel.

Depends what you're looking for.

GMT and Sub, as everyone said, are 2 different animals.
There was only a slight overlap between the 2 watches when was available the GMT black bezel & dial (116710LN), now discontinued.
Sub Hulk can be paired with any of the GMT.

If you want to add another stainless professional model to the collection, the GMT would be a solid addition. Two very different watches and both are awesome. The new jubilee bracelet is very nice.

green bezel vs. blue/red bezel
green dial vs. black dial
diver function vs. GMT/timezone
oyster vs. jubilee
glidelock vs. easy link
hulk (superhero) vs. pepsi (softdrink)

Beside the logo and cyclops .... i'd say they're pretty different
