Initially they told me they had a Day date 36 and nothing else available at this time. But, by the time we finished talking, luckily this wimbledon got available.
Still, remarkable good fortune! Congrats!!

Interesting insight on how the Santa Clara boutique does its allocation. I’ve purchased a couple of watches from there as well but I’ve always wondered.

At the end of the day it’s a luxury watch and it’s not something you should be emotional about. Especially to an AD that has little to no control over the situation.

If I was an AD I’d be internally eye-rolling.

Sorry to be negative but my two cents . And again, congrats on a great reference.

You are entitled to your opinion. I think you have missed the point. These ADs themselves ask you to come and build a relationship and then they give you a run around. I was not pleading with him to sell me a watch and neither did he do any favor in selling this watch. I paid its retail price. I just gave my opinion on how I saw things in the market with flippers to grey market dealers and I reckon it was a healthy conversation. I think the salesman was honest in his responses to my valid questions.

No one rewarded anyone. I paid for it 🤣
He told me no watch except a day date. Luckily he found this inside a case when we walked around and offered it to me.
