Icon7 Nothing like a incoming to ruin a good night sleep.

A Rolex I have been pursuing the past 8 months just in time for the water. It’s about as close to the night before Christmas we get at my age.

Winner winner chicken dinner. Sub41 126610LN. Rolex took every design tweak I always wanted to change from my LVc. I investigated every minute detail and measurements of this watch since it’s introduction and came to my own personal conclusion it is exactly what I would have done right down to the longer hands, fatter hour hand, tapered lugs, wider bracelet to wider glide lock clasp topped off with a perfect dial to bezel ratio. Should be a outstanding daily. I sacrificed a lesser worn non-Rolex watch to the Rolex gods but all the numbers just fell right where I needed to be. I have had some form of the Sub in my collection for the last 30 years except for the last 3 years. It was time and I was waiting for the update that took 2 years longer than I thought it would.

Great job I too think they did an outstanding job on the re-engineering of it. One question on size do you notice much of a difference at all on the wrist presence? Look forward to pictures and one of your awsome reviews

It’s coming today and I will let you know. I will do some unboxing pics. I believe the watch still has a few stickers.

As far as wrist presence, I suspect wrist presence will be close to the SD43 I had as the dial and hands of the new Sub41 are exactly the same size as the SD43. I found this extremely interesting as the SD43’s 2mm larger size makes up from its slightly larger rehault, wider bezel and case. This is why I see the Sub41 in having a perfect dial to bezel ratio. You are getting a lot of dial real estate for the size of the watch.
I sold my SD43 because of comfort issues with the case back protrusion. I loved the case design and dial of the SD43 but comfort was not working regardless the bracelet link adjustments. In fact, the SD43 is the only Rolex model I could never get a good comfort level. This is why I was excited to finally see all the updates of the new Sub41.

I hope you love the new 41 as much as I do.

The 41 is a perfect blend of the same design aesthetics as the 43 as you’ve mention without the caseback issue. It’s weight on the wrist works much better (for me) and what I find, is that the dial actually appears larger on my wrist than the SD43 …. may have something to do with the rehaut

I too had to let go the SD43 for the exact same reasons as you

I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts
