From your neck of the woods, I'd say that isn't to bad a price Mon. Flying from Canada, taxes in, off peak season and economy, 1500 to 1700 is the norm.

A long haul for a couple of days. I'd hope you would spend a few weeks if possible..

What a shame... I leave for Thailand/Japan the week before. Another chance to meet other Sydney forum members missed.

Good choice of restaurant though.

I have had a strong connection with Thailand for most of my life... and I rank the Chaat Thai restaurants highly. The owner is a good woman who takes good care of her employees.

Hi Steve

this one www.chatthai.com.au ?

Website shows 4 restaurants in city area. Also, I noticed they all close at 10.00pm, except for the one in "Thaitown" http://www.chatthai.com.au/ct_branches/thaitown/1/ which has a supper sitting after 9.30pm.

This is the proposed restaurant subject to the general consensus:
http://www.chatthai.com.au/ct_branches/thaitown/1/

Its open until 2am.....I don't think there will be a problem.
The food is very clean, fresh, flavoursome and healthy...
The wine is reasonably good quality and not over priced.
