Rolex Service

Apart from sending to the dealer, could you guys recommend a service center for my Rolex Explorer in the USA? Please let me know if you have used anybody and if the experience was good. I am looking if they are trustworthy, turn around time and cost (And if they use Rolex parts).

Is there a place in this forum that discusses service?

Thanks!

Is the watch in or out of warranty?

Well, also depends where you're located. You can either go with an RSC ( Dallas seems highly recommended) or go with an independent.

Perhaps, if you narrow down your location, someone can recommend a local independent.

Search Rikki Time care inc

Try Rikki Dietel, he is great. I have had my watch serviced by him. Great service and reasonable pricing. Look him up on the forum, many threads about his customer service and great work.

Is the watch not working, or do you just feel that it's time?

Sometimes people do shop cost, which is not always the best alternative for a high-end time piece. Those with a Rolex parts account have to service Rolex watches to a certain standard in order to retain that account as wall as maintain current CW21 watchmaker status.

Rik (as mentioned) in FLA is on one coast, and Vanessa at Jewelers on Time in Newport Beach is on the West Coast, with watch shops like Watchmakers International (Ridley's in Arlington TX) are in the middle.. All are Independents.

Sutters in Chicago is a Rolex RSC and does respectable work.

Vanessa cw21, and R.W.T. are both great. Vanessa on newer stuff and R.W.T. on the vintage.

To know the future is to be trapped by it

RSC Dallas.
Just got my 31 year old Date back.
Great results, but costly. 6 week turnaround.
It's lost less than 1 second in 5 days.
Better than my new Submariner, which gains about 1 second a day.

RSC in Beverly Hills. turn around is 3-4 weeks. Very easy to get to and have it's own parking next to the office. So in and out on Wilshire Blvd which is expensive to park.
