Help - Making room for the Sky Dweller SS - Sell Hulk or AP
I have always keeping my watch rotation to two watches recently - and made it a rule when I bought a new watch, one must go.
Currently I have Royal Oak 15400 (Black Dial) and Sub Hulk - and just recently acquired Sky Dweller (Black Dial) in SS. So one has to go, The RO or the Hulk. Having hard time making the decision because I love them both. So fellow watch lovers, give me some of your thoughts - i know selling any one of them will be a sucky decision on my part. Appreciate it!

Help - Making room for the Sky Dweller SS - Sell Hulk or AP
If selling one is a must, I would sell the ap as it overlaps more with the skydweller in terms of being less sporty and more of classical dressy shiny watch. Plus it has black dial. The hulk is more of sporty casual watch that can be used as a beater and to the pool plus it adds some color to the collection. Tough decision though.

Here's something I learned a long time ago...the only rule is there are no rules.
In this case, I think it's time for a rules change. Seriously, if you must (and you will regret it) then pick the one that would be easiest to replace when you come to your senses later. I don't know much about the AP, but the LV is growing harder and harder to find. |

I agree with the comments above.
Tough to sell one of them, but if I had to it'd be the AP. I think you'd regret selling the LV and having two watches with black dials. |

I would keep the AP 100%, that's just me... unless you have other AP's. I wouldn't want only rolex's in my collection.

I wouldn't get rid of the 15400st as I think it's nicer than the Sky-D. But I do prefer the Sky-D to the Sub, so I'd have have to say get rid of Hulk for the incoming Sky-D. Though it'd be close call between Sky-D and Hulk, just the AC would do it for me.
Though probably best to keep them all... not like they are losing value these days! p.s. Funny to remember this pic, in 2014, the BLNR and Hulk both available in my UK AD. Times have changed. |

I love the look of the AP and I love (own) the Hulk. I'd say there is more overlap on the AP and the SkyD, but there is no wrong choice. Hulk may be a better choice for retaining value/cost of service. The RO is a beauty though.

when was each serviced or new? I would lean toward selling AP. Hard sell AP if it is coming up to service time.

Keep both!! but if one must go, that means you don't LOVE them that much. So I say sell one that is less depreciated.

I don't like screws on the face of my watches so for me the AP would be gone. Besides the LV is a great sports watch and this is a Rolex forum!!!

Rules are made to be broken. You’re going to be dead an awful long time, so keep both; all three are sufficiently different that you can do that, no drama. If you can’t do that, sell both and buy an SD43.

If you can swing it keep them all for a little bit and, if necessary, make the decision after the honeymoon face.

It'd be nice if the 15400 had a white dial, but still a great choice.

Hulk
The AP RO is an all time classic, it’s reliable, can handle daily wear with ease, doesn’t cost a fortune to service, and you can look good wearing it with suit or jeans.
